Papertowns Part 1

The beginning of the book Paper Towns by John Green is about the main character, Quentin, and his childhood friend, Margo Roth Spiegelman. It explains how they have always been good friends until Margo became sad about her parents divorce and her and Quentin stumbled upon a man's death. It then skips to Quentin's senior year in high school. Quentin see's that Margo has changed over the years although she still shared her love of mysteries. He has always had a crush on Margo but now that they are seniors in high school she has a boyfriend named Jase. As they grew older they started to drift away from each other until one night Margo open's Quentin's window right before midnight to ask him to help her with solving problems she has. After he helps her, the next day he notices that her car is gone and becomes suspicious of why it wasn't there. Margo's parents try to file a missing person because Margo had not come back to her house after 48 hours, but the police cannot treat her as a minor because she is 18. Quentin begins to find clues that Margo had left for him leading him to wear she is at.
